Closer look at chiller ratings

Analyses the application conditions of IPLV/NPLV, points out the defects of IPLV/NPLV being used as an efficiency evaluation standard. It does not accurately represent a chiller plant’s operating characteristics, it can be used to compare unloading characteristics of chillers only, and it can not be used for predicting the economic savings by adding variable-speed drives.
